Moving Words with Norfolk Sands baby loss charity
Date: Saturday 14th of November
Location: Copperdot Studio, Old Church Hall, 1 The Street, NR14 8SX
Moving Words with Norfolk Sands is a gentle, two-hour workshop for women who have experienced baby loss, offering a warm, compassionate and supportive space to move, write, reflect and connect with others who may share similar experiences.
Led by choreographer Emma Zangs, poet Helen Vine and movement psychotherapist Katy Dunne, the workshop invites you to explore the relationship between body, words and emotion in a way that feels comfortable and personal to you. Through gentle movement and creative writing, we will create space to listen to our bodies, acknowledge our experiences and find different ways to express feelings that can sometimes be difficult to put into words.
There is no right or wrong way to take part. You are welcome to move, write, rest, reflect or simply be present. No previous experience of dance, movement or creative writing is needed. Everything will be offered as an invitation, allowing you to participate in whatever way feels right for you.
Following the workshop, we will gather for tea and cake, with an optional sharing session from 4–5pm. This will offer an opportunity to reflect on the experience, share thoughts or responses if you wish, and contribute to the research and development of Emma’s solo-making work. Your participation in this conversation is entirely optional, and there is absolutely no expectation to share anything personal.
Our hope is to create a space where you feel welcomed, supported and able to arrive just as you are, with room for movement, stillness, creativity and connection.
